Toni Cavelti

I have always been interested in art (my favorite subject in school) and all art, not only visual, has shaped a large part of my life.  Over 50 years has been dedicated to making jewelry, handcrafting precious metals around fabulous gemstones.

My high school in Switzerland was located in a centuries old monastery, directly above the world famous "Stiftsbibliotek", a library that housed many lavishly decorated and handwritten books as well as objects encrusted with precious jewels. With this inspiration and my love for things made by hand and of a permanent nature, I chose to become a goldsmith, to follow in the footsteps of past masters.

The life of goldsmithing behind me, I now have a freedom to create whatever comes to mind.  Presently I design these delightful sculptures, fashioned entirely from one wire.

I consider this to be a beginning; the future will tell where it is going.
