Stefanie Denz

I am drawn to inner processes and how they become visible and more known through relationships. Because of this my work is inclined to be narrative, featuring family members, friends, media and film images, dreams and architecture. I am inspired by a feeling that is elusive yet familiar and lies in the construction of the space. The presence of things meeting with the presence of other things including the space, shapes the composition. I sometimes include found material for its otherness, relatability, and as a reminder of the tactile world which we belong to. Colour is the wild card.
