Ian Sandilands

Born in 1988, I have been drawing ever since.  Through every high school class at Ideal mini school I drew and now I am going into third year at Emily Carr where I am sure I will compulsively draw and paint more than ever. 

Drawing and painting have always been disciplines I have used to address subjects that are important to me and things that have affected me, perhaps it is slightly self centered but my work always deals with the personal.  My work is based in emotion, intuition and gut feeling rather than in rational thought or premeditated decisions.
