Andrew Tong
Posted March 1, 2009
June 2, 2009 - June 20, 2009

Painter Andrew Tong discusses his exhibition,"So It Goes", at the Elliott Louis Gallery from April 7 to 25, 2009. Many of the images are from the point of view of children - showing people as they really are – self-obsessed, paranoid and full of greed, very dangerous indeed. At the same time, there is an element of humour and a glimmer of hope. Tong also discusses his hard scrabble beginnings on the mean streets of South London and how the crime and violence endemic to the area and his family informs his work and current painting pursuits.
