Marcel painted "L'aventure celeste" in Bagnilet in 1997 shortly after he and his wife Ninon moved to France. The title refers to space adventure, It also refers to their moving from Montreal to Paris and to Marcel's studio (which by the artist's account "is nearly in the sky, and looking at the sky"), as it is located at the top of a 19 storey building.
The work was exhibited at the Churchill Gallery at Cambridge University, UK and it was commented upon and reproduced in the smal catalogue Mastering The Accidental (p.8 and().
