Collaboration with artist Andrea Tucker
Andrea Tucker is a local artist who has shown her work in Vancouver, Whistler, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, NYC and in Helsinki, Holland. Many art collectors own her work all over North America.
Andrea is self-taught painter and has been creating art since she was a child. She studied at Art Fundamentals at Sheridan College in Ontario after finishing high school. After she moved to Vancouver she became interested in Fashion Design and studied at Vancouver Community College before entering a career in tattooing. It was through tattooing that she discovered painting and soon gave up tattooing to pursue painting full-time.
Andrea started painting with acrylic and soon picked up oil paints and fell in love. Inspired by the old masters (Rembrandt, Manet, Michael Angelo, Edvard Munch, Van Gogh, Velasquez and many more) and the current masters (Mark Ryden, Michael Hussar, Nathan Spoor, Lee Harvey Roswell, Todd Schorr, Isabelle Samaras and again many more)
Andrea’s work is dark and disturbing sometimes and at other times fun and light. She paints with diverse images but one thing that always is common is the female figure and the detail she uses to portray the subject. Her work is often surreal, unusual and inspired by the human condition. Intricate detail and a fine finish can always be assumed.
