Kiff Holland

Kiff is an established artist who paints in a variety of mediums. His paintings have won numerous awards and are represented in major collections here in Canada and abroad. He is best known for his extraordinary use of light, whether it be sunlight
reflected off the ocean, glass goblets or a woman's body. Kiff's watercolours which you see represented here reveal a beauty found in the simplicity of life. They invite the viewer to slow down and celebrate the moment.

Biography |
Born in South Africa and now living on the edge of the forest in North Vancouver, B.C., KIFF HOLLAND, SFCA, AWS, CSA, CSPWC received his formal art training at the University of Witwatersrand and the Johannesburg School of Art. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1975, Holland was immediately captivated by British Columbia’s soft colours and light. His palette changed from the warm African earth tones to the cool, ethereal values for which he has become known. He is a recognized expert in watercolours, oils and acrylics and teaches in the Design Illustration department of Capilano College in North Vancouver, B.C., as well as conducting workshops in Canada, the USA and Europe. Holland’s works are finely drawn and detailed and definitely have his own mark of distinction. He is also a past-president of the FCA and has won many honors, including the Gold Medal Award from the FCA, and full signature status in the AWS.
