The following guidelines are intended to ensure that artists
understand what collateral material the Gallery is looking for when submitting a request
regarding possible representation.
- The Gallery only shows work by contemporary artists that we represent. We do not have
shows/exhibitions for contemporary artists that we do not represent.
- The Gallery exhibits Fine Art. This primarily includes painting, drawing, sculpture and
photography. We carry contemporary and historic Canadian Fine Art, and the work of select
artists from outside Canada. In addition the Gallery carries work by internationally
renowned artists of historic importance.
- The Gallery represents artists at all levels of their development, including emerging,
mid-career and senior artists.
- Submissions for representation should include:
- A portfolio of slides or photographs.
- An artist statement.
- A biography that includes; education, exhibitions, major collections, awards, teaching
experience, etc.
(The Gallery recognizes that emerging artists may not have an extensive biography.)
- Contact information that is accurate and up to date.
- A stamped, self addressed envelope large enough to contain the artist's portfolio and
any other collateral material submitted.
- Please do not e mail attached jpgs unless requested to do so by the Gallery. We will not
open unsolicited / unknown files. Likewise, please do not submit unsolicited CDs.
- Please do not bring unsolicited examples of art work to the gallery. Unfortunately we
will not be in a position to look at the work in these circumstances.

Submissions received at the gallery by artists looking for representation are usually
reviewed within eight weeks of receipt. |
